Dual Wield Sports is a creative sports platform built to amplify overlooked athletes and educate the next generation.
We were founded on the belief that talent and potential shouldn’t be limited by exposure or access. Too often, athletes — especially in the Bay Area and Sacramento — go unnoticed simply because they weren’t given the same spotlight, resources, or support as others. Our mission is to change that.
What started as a classroom idea inside a University of Redlands entrepreneurship course quickly turned into something real. Our founder, a former collegiate basketball player, saw firsthand what it meant to be overlooked — and knew others in the community were experiencing the same thing. That perspective shaped everything we are today: a platform designed to be a second hand in success for those who need it most.
The name “Dual Wield” reflects our purpose — to act as a figurative extension for athletes, coaches, and community figures who are trying to succeed not only on the court or field, but in all aspects of life. Whether it’s brand development, NIL partnerships, storytelling, or education, we aim to support the areas they can’t always handle alone.
Our content speaks to the real challenges that athletes and young people face. From recruiting and NIL, to identity outside of sports, to career preparation and mental health — we create meaningful conversations through interviews, short-form videos, educational posts, and long-form storytelling. We also produce The DWS Spotlight, our signature podcast and video series highlighting athletes, coaches, business leaders, and change-makers in the community whose stories deserve to be told.
In everything we do, we remain rooted in community. Our focus is local, and our impact is personal. We’re committed to becoming a trusted presence — a name recognized by families, coaches, schools, and athletes throughout the Bay Area and Sacramento region.
